The Golden History of Rotary Club of Ramgarh
Rotary Club Ramgarh formed on 5th November 1961. Chartered on 15th August 1962. Charter President T. Lakshmanan and Charter Secretary Malhotra. Rotary Hall was constructed in 1975. Ramgarh Rotary Public Service Charitable Trust was formed in ( 1979 ). Rotary Ramgarh constructed toilets at bus stand ( 1964 ) science block at Narayan High School, Barkakana ( 1970 ) class room at Gandhi High School ( 1977 ) Rotary Gandhi Ghat ( 1983 ) 2 Passenger sheds were constructed. One at Subhash Chowk ( 1997 ) another at Thana Chowk ( 2005 ) 2 rooms 1 Bore Well & 1 toilet at Rotaract Shishu Vatika Vidyalaya ( 2009 ) Toilets at Al Fatima Girls High School ( 2011 ). One Shed was constructed at High School, Hesla ( 2019 ). Manohar Lal Agrawal Rotary Hospital was constructed ( 1993 ). Family members of M/S Manohar Lal Satya Narayan sponsored the project ( Rs 3.5 lakh). Shri Shankar Choudhary donated one decimal land for approach road. Rotary Ramgarh hosted Dist. ( 326 ) Assembly ( 1980 ) Dist. Seminar on Membership ( 1993 ) No registration charges. Dist. Award Function ( 2001 ) Dist Seminar on Partners in Service ( 2014 ) Pre PETS - SETS ( 2017 & 2021 ). PP Basant Hetamsaria was elected District Governor for 2000-2001 and on that year Rtr Nilanjan Dutta elected DRR. Rtr Sanjeev Singh Sanju Was elected as DRR in 1998-99. Dist Conference was hosted at Varanasi ( 2000 ) Rotary Club Bhurkunda ( 2002 ) and Rotary Juhmriteliya (2012) was sponsored. Suresh Bagaria became Major Donor & Club 100% PHF Club. Free polio & other vaccine center was started ( 1979 ) 40 thousand beneficiaries. Free OPD & medicines since 1975. Approx. one lakh beneficiaries. 80 free Eye Check up camps 10 thousand beneficiaries 60 free Catract Surgery Camps organized 2 thousand beneficiaries. 3 Artificial Limb Camps organized ( 2005/ 2011/ 2018 ) 300 beneficiaries. Saheli Centre was started ( 2005 ) 500 beneficiaries. Oxygen Bank started ( 2021 ) with 4 Cylinders. 2012-13 Club received Highest Service award of Rotary International and on that year club received 96 award National and International also.
